The community encompasses four separate apartment buildings, each containing 75 one-bedroom, one-bath units and a stand-alone Multi-Purpose building. Meheula Vista provides seniors with an affordable permanent living option, offering supportive services and amenities where residents can “age in place.”
Meheula Vista includes optional on-site parking, fully equipped kitchens, a picnic area, a community room, beautifully landscaped common areas, coin-operated laundry, and an on-site resident manager. Catholic Charities social workers are also on-site to assist residents with tasks such as applying for rent and food assistance, senior services, entitlements, and other issues facing the senior population. Catholic Charities Housing Development Corporation (CCHDC) was established in 1999, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, as a direct response to, and recognition of, the challenges Catholic Charities Hawaii (CCH) clients experienced when exiting transitional shelters to find permanent affordable housing.
