SAN RAFAEL, CA – EAH Housing named Welton Jordan as vice president of real estate development after serving in the interim role for the last eight months.

“Welton brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to EAH Housing,” said Mary Murtagh, president and chief executive officer at EAH Housing. “Under his leadership, we’ve developed a robust new business pipeline, closed five deals and have grown the real estate development team by 50%.”

As vice president of real estate development, Mr. Jordan is responsible for business development, real estate acquisition, rehabilitation and new construction activities in California and Hawaii. With a current active pipeline of more than 20 deals and total development costs more than $600 million, he understands the need for innovative solutions while taking into account local market conditions and community needs as California and Hawaii face a massive affordable housing crisis.

“It’s an exciting time to be part of EAH Housing,” said Welton Jordan. “The demand for affordable housing has taken center stage as one of the most important issues facing California and Hawaii today.  Our reputation, experience, services and staff put us in a strong position to work with government officials, bankers, advocates and community leaders to help solve this problem and create the quality affordable housing that is desperately needed.”

Mr. Jordan joined EAH Housing in 2013 as an Area Director and was responsible for managing development and property rehabilitation efforts for eight counties in northern California. Prior to joining EAH, he was a Development Project Specialist for the Housing Authority of the City and County of Fresno (HACCF) from 2009 to 2013.

EAH Housing, a nonprofit organization, is celebrating its 50th anniversary and will continue its mission to develop, manage and promote quality affordable housing and sustainable diverse communities. The organization serves 20,000 people every day – working families, seniors, people with disabilities, and veterans in California and Hawaii.
