Point Reyes Station, CA — EAH Housing’s affordable housing project in Point Reyes Station has been named project of the year for 2006 by Merritt Community Capital Corp. in Oakland.
Merritt has created 10 equity partnership funds that have raised $233 million in capital for affordable housing in California.
Merritt’s president, Bernard Deasy, said the project was selected because of the persistence EAH demonstrated in completing it.
“It took over nine years for this project to become a reality,” Deasy said. “EAH had to overcome obstacles from local, state and federal regulators, residents and financing agencies.”
