Fresno, CA, 2010 – The Arbor Court Grand Opening event, in Fresno, CA, on Wednesday, April 6th, was a huge success!
The event received significant media coverage and a number of notable local political figures attended. Guests included representatives from the offices of State Senator Michael Rubio (16th District), State Assemblymember Henry Perea (31st District) and State Assemblymember Linda Halderman (29th District.)
Fresno City Councilmember Sal Quintero, a fixture in the Fresno political landscape for the past two decades, made a speaking appearance at the event, and presented Mary Murtagh with a plaque proclaiming April 6, 2011 as “EAH Housing Day” in Fresno. The property also received Certificates of Recognition from the offices of Senator Michael Rubio and Assemblymember Perea.
The hard work of EAH staff, HUD, and the City of Fresno paid off in dividends at Arbor Court. Twenty persons with disabilities in Fresno now have their own beautiful apartments to call home. The units were carefully designed to ensure that our residents, many of whom use wheelchairs, will be able to easily tend to the details of their daily lives.
