Cathedral Gardens provides 100 affordable rental apartments in Oakland. The three building community features a restored and historically significant century-old rectory that formerly housed staff of the Saint Francis de Sales Cathedral. The development was made possible by the Oakland Housing Authority, which purchased the site and made it available to EAH Housing through a long term ground lease.

Cathedral Gardens is designed to be energy- and water-efficient; the community is in the process of LEED Platinum Certification. “Platinum” is the highest of four levels of certification recognizing achievement in green building. The fully leased, amenity-rich Cathedral Gardens features a community room, technology lounge, fitness center and resource coordination services.
